It really sounds like Strep throat. See a doctor and get a throat culture if indicated. And the sooner the better!
PS: Don't take any leftover antibiotics you might have, as this could give a false negative on a throat culture.
Get better!

Those glands at the back of your throat are your tonsills. And the white things are called concretions. I do no know what they are actually made out of is one of but probably a combination of bacteria, food, calcium, and the particals in your saliva, even chemical ones, such as filth from smoking. They tend to begin in the divits in you tonsil, even on the back of your throat, and build into the larger balls that you see. Make sure you brush your teeth morning and just before bed, get a new tooth brush every few months, use an antibacterial mouthwash or alternatively, and much cheaper option, gargle with salt water three times a day, make sure you get the solution to your tonsils, for 30sec. You can gently remove these by picking them away, very gently to minimise or prevent bleeding. Its a good idea to salt water gargle for a few days before attempting to remove to decrease the size of them, make sure you salt water gargle after removing them too, this prevents infection.
It wont hurt for you to get your throat cheaked out by a doctor, especially if you are a medium to long term smoker, or have other reason to believe it may be something more serious. Good luck to you

Man, I hate wallpaper. The best way I've found to remove it is to mix some liquid fabric softener and water in a spray bottle (about 1 part fabric softener to 3 parts water, I never measure exactly but you can play with the ratio until you find what works for you) and mist it onto the paper before you start scraping. Let it sit for a few minutes, and it will make your job MUCH easier. Be careful, though- if you use enough to drip, it might discolor your carpet. After you remove the paper, you will need to rinse your walls with mild soapy water to make sure all the fabric softener residue and glue and paper bits are removed. It's a tough job, and I wish you the very best of luck. Side note: if you have a ton of paper to remove, save yourself a lot of effort and rent a steamer. But that would only be worth your money if you had several rooms or many layers of paper to remove.

You need to see your doctor. You may have strep throat and by touching the back of your throat as you say you have will likely cause a secondary infection.

You might have a very common problem called oral thrush. In other words yeast infection. Happens all the time. Go to the doctor and you may have to be put on antibiotics.
