Ok, I'm 13, I'm a girl. I love cars. I work on my dad's racecars with him every weekend. It's the south, NASCAR is huge. I want to race something, I mean, put me in golfcart races! I just want to try it. She won't let me. I don't know if it's because:
A.I'm a girl
B.I'm only 13
C.I'm her 1st child
I mean, I'd let me race!!!! I want to race. How can I get her to let me?!?! I race better than half the guys....I mean, she won't let me try in a real race though.

I know she doesn't want anything to harm you. I know this because I am a mom of a 14 year old that intends to race Nascar.
I don't want him to get hurt. I will support him with lots and lots of prayer.
I think it will be great for a female to get into racing. Maybe you and my son will be team mates!

I hope to be watching you on NASCAR in a few years. That would be awesome. I know you must be very frustrated, but I also know in time you'll understand. I'm sure its all the reasons you gave -- she'd just worry about you! BUt I know that doesn't help your frustration. Ever race go-carts? Go to a go-cart track with some friends :) Don't race golf carts -- they'll tip over on the turns LOL

I went through the same thing a few years ago. In my case my parents didn't know anything about what type of cars I wanted to drive, and they just figured that fast=dangerous. And as you know that's just not true.
Instead of fighting your parents on this, it'll be better for everyone if you work with your mom to show that your very serious about this, show her you know what your getting into, and try and start somewhere that she knows will be safe. You might even want to try taking her go-karting. Thats how I got my dad on board.

I know how u feel I wanted to race to but ur mom has good reason sweetie u probably won't realize but look what happened to Earnhardt did he mean to crash and that cost his life no and ur mom just doesn't want that to happen to u sweetie she cares about u think about the pain that must have gone through his family when he hit the wall then when they found out he wasn't alive I have been to races and when they hit the wall it horrifying but it being ur family and them dieing I just couldn't imagine it!

The answer to A,B, &C, is probably, All of the above. If you are hanging out with the guys, you will eventually get behind the wheel and race.

a probably doesn't have anything to do with it . she probably doesn't want you to get hurt or killed shes looking out for you i mean i love nascar but i would never drive

probably all htree reasons are why...maybe mom should let you try...Kurt Bush had the same problem so dont give up on your dream...
