Yes. Good point.

Basic rules of evidence in the United States:

What Is Evidence?

Evidence is testimony, writings, and material objects offered to prove an alleged fact or proposition.
Evidence other than oral testimony is sometimes referred to as real evidence.
There are two basic types of evidence: direct and circumstantial. Although the media often deride
circumstantial evidence, the law does not value it any less than direct evidence. Direct evidence is
evidence that directly proves a fact at issue, without the need for any inference or presumption. The most
common form of direct evidence is testimony based on a witness' personal knowledge or observation of
facts in controversy. Circumstantial evidence is evidence from which a fact at issue may be proved
indirectly.

Process for Determining the Admissibility of Evidence
The evidence that a fact finder may use to support a finding is determined through a process of
admission and exclusion based on offers by the proponent and, sometimes, objections by the opponent.
In addition to offering evidence, a proponent may make an offer of proof in order to make a record on
appeal to show that substantial prejudice resulted from exclusion of particular evidence. For evidence to
be admissible, sometimes a specific factual foundation is required. Under the concept of judicial notice, a
court can take as proven certain matters that are considered indisputable, matters of common knowledge,
and certain ascertainable facts from unquestionably accurate sources, such as a calendar, road map, or
government mortality table.

No faith is not proof of God, God is the only true reality in the universe and faith is the gift that He bestows on us, God exists even if no-one believed, so we should really say that God is proof of faith.

Yes. Faith itself is a gift of God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing a Word about Christ/God.

God created everything by faith filled words. Everything was invisible before it was visible. God thought of it first, the spoke it into existance.

No, it's not. People have faith in other deities too. It doesn't mean their God exists either. Hope inspires faith in things unseen, but it doesn't make it real.

"The idea of an omnipotent God who creates a creature capable of reason, then throws an eternal hissy fit when that creature doesn't spend all his time telling God how wonderful He is... Well it seems like rather insecure behavior for an all powerful, all loving being."

Faith (wishful, magical thinking) is a substitute for evidence... and serves as the basis for 'belief'... the internalized certainty that one's own ideations map to reality.

'Belief' is a substitute for knowledge... i.e., false knowledge, sustained by wishful, magical thinking.

faith + belief = willful ignorance and self-delusion
