My husband and I are on limited income right now and he is wants to take her to dinner. We take his parents to dinner for every major holiday. I want to buy her a small gift, not spend a boatload on a dinner for her and my father-in-law. We really don't have the money right now. Am I being unreasonable?

I bought my mom a new cell phone, she been wanting to get a new one, but wouldn't buy it! oh and a hug! :)

no you're not being unreasonable, it's not how much you spend on the gift. it should come from the heart. value shouldn't matter!

sounds very reasonable provided you're doing the same for your mom.
