I am 18 year old girl. I am seeing a 19 year old boy from 2 years who studies in same class with me. We are friends from 4 years and started seeing each other before 1 year eight months ago from now on. We both are pretty serious about spending our life together. He introduced me to his elder cousin brother who just recently had a break up from a long term relation. He is seven years elder to me. I and my boyfriend recently had a tough time in our relation during which his elder brother proposed and asked me if I loved him. I told my boyfriend’s cousin that I don’t know because I was already facing a bad time. When I told what had happened to my boyfriend, he was very upset and said I was encouraging his cousin. Do you think I did that? And do you think my boyfriend trusts me enough? Later my boyfriend said he was sorry and i can continue to be friends with his cousin. Doing so what effect will it have on my love relationship?

If you love your boyfriend, stick with him! He sounds like a great guy. It's also not a bad idea to tell you boyfriend's cousin that you just want to be friends with him. It's never a bad idea to be friends with people in your boyfriends family. I hope that helps...GOOD LUCK!

You don't know? You need to clear up your thinking.
You are confused it seems, and the best thing for you to do is stay away from your boyfriends relatives if you can't distinguish between love and friendship.
Your boyfriend's elder cousin's brother sounds like a schmuck.
You need to know what love is and who you love.
I agree with your boyfriend about encouraging his cousin by what you said.
I can't imagine why your boyfriend's elder brother proposed.
Do you live in a country where this is the norm?
But in normal thinking, you are wrong, your boyfriend is right and you need to make things right by showing respect for love per se.

Well, if both of you still trust each other, it will have no effect on your relationship. It's normal to have conflicts sometimes, but not always. But the way you acted to his elder bro's question, i personally feel that you are encouraging him because if you really love your boyfriend, you are clear about your feelings and what you should have done is to give a straight 'no' to him. My advice is, be sure about your feelings because its no use spending most of your time with the one you don't really love.
