I have Microsoft Works Suite in my computer from the time I bought it. The text option worked for few days and then stopped. I am not using this software. May I delete this from my computer? Will it cause any trouble in functioning of my computer if I delete this?

NO DON'T DELETE A PROGRAM, EVER!!!!
Microsoft Works is a program and you can only uninstall a program, NOT delete it. If you truly don't want it, and frankly I don't blame you, then click on Start, Settings, control panel, Add/Remove programs and find either Works Suite or Microsoft Works. Click on the right to remove it, and after it's removed, close the control panel and restart the computer for the change to take effect.

It will not harm your computer, in fact, it might run a little faster, as a slow-loading program will be gone. If you ever want word processing, then get the free OpenOffice suite by Sun. It has everything Works had and much more; it's very comparable to Microsoft Office and will do all that Office will do, but at much less cost. Here is a link if you are interested in looking at it:

It won't hurt your system if you uninstall applications. But if your merely delete them it could cause major problems. Never just delete a program. Removing it from the Start menu is ok, because the program is still on your hard drive. To remove applications safely do this:
Click Start | Control Panel | Add and Remove Programs. In the window scroll down to the application you want to delete/remove, click it once (to highlight it) and click the Change/Remove button to remove it. That should do it.

Yes you may delete, and I suggest you to delete everything that It install with because companies like HP and Dell will bundle a lot of other software with windows and it is best to either get a Microsoft copy FROM Microsoft and not branded with HP, and ALSO delete Everything that came with it as long as it is not important drivers or anything you need.
