I'm sorry but speaking from personal experience, I don't see how anyone cant. God is wonderful...everything I have ever pray for in my life have come to past...plus this world is just too complex

I do believe in God but I can see how others don't

Many people who believe in God look down on others, many children are physicaly, mentaly and sexually abused. There is so much evil in this world that it makes it hard to belive that a God that lets that happen cares at all.

It is a misunderstanding in my opinion of what God is but I have been protected from much of that so I really can't judge others.

If I put myself in the shoes of some one who was abused as a child that prayed for God to save them but didn't then I find it easy not to believe in God.

Hi,
I too believe in God but I prove his existence by logical arguments.

Here are logical arguments to prove that God exist. If you choose this as the best answer, you shall have started your commission to spread the good news.

ARGUMENT 1:
Premise (P1): Input + process = Output.
(Exception to out-put is energy. It has always been there)

P2: Someone with enough power or energy and intelligence has to produce the input and effect the process to create the output. Call him Intelligent Maker.

P3. The Universe and everything around us are outputs (except energy).

Conclusion: Therefore, the Universe and everything around us
was caused and effected by an Intelligent Maker.

(If some dumboos ask, who made the Intelligent Maker. Point out his ignorance by saying the God is spirit and spirit is Energy. So no one made him. Cite Genesis 1:1 where it says the "power--or Energy--of God was moving over the formless desolate earth. " Too, Acts 2:1-4 vividly describes the holy spirit as a strong powerful energy--like a strong wind-- that filled a house)

Here is Argument # 2--the DNA. ( Psalm 139:16 mentions it as the book of life. Confirmed by World Book Encyclopedia )
Proof that DNA was designed by a mind.

P1: DNA is not merely a molecule with a pattern; it is a code, a language, and an information storage mechanism.

P2: All codes we know the origin of are created by a conscious mind.

CONCLUSION: Therefore DNA was designed by a mind, and language and information are proof of the existence of a Superintelligence.

We can explore five possible conclusions:
1) Humans designed DNA
2) Aliens designed DNA
3) DNA occurred randomly and spontaneously
4) There must be some undiscovered law of physics that creates information
5) DNA was Designed by a Superintelligence, i.e. God.

(1) requires time travel or infinite generations of humans. (2) could well be true but only pushes the question back in time. (3) may be a remote possibility, but it's not a scientific explanation in that it doesn't refer to a systematic, repeatable process. It's nothing more than an appeal to luck. (4) could be true but no one can form a testable hypothesis until someone observes a naturally occurring code. So the only systematic explanation that remains is (5) a theological one.
To the extent that scientific reasoning can prove anything, DNA is proof of a designer.

I'm agnostic. When I'm in a good mood and taking a nature hike or riding my bike, I kinda lean towards a weak pantheism--the idea that the Universe itself is divine.

However, I do not believe in a personal God. Why? Because of unanswered petitionary prayers--well, they're kinda-sorta answered about as often as you'd expect from random chance. Also, the doctrines of organized religion seem more man-made than divine to me, and I can't believe that a real God would get himself mixed up with theology and the whole legalistic nonsense of doctrinal religion...

It's easy. The things you prayed for might have come to you anyway. You say "God is wonderful," I say Mother Nature is wonderful.

The term "God" is monotheistic, and generally Jewish or Christian. Many of us find it easier to believe in many gods and goddesses, at least to the extent of using them as symbols to represent truths which are too esoteric and abstract to cope with any other way.

Because the original purpose that we are here in this material world is that we wanted to give up God's service and become God ourselves. That make us become envious of Him.
Therefore is not at all amazing about being atheist.

Well its the opposite for me in terms of I cant understand how anyone can believe in a god without any real evidence.

We are all different anyway, different beliefs, ways of thinking, characteristics ext. Maybe if you have been brought up with religion too because people tend to stick with what they are used to. I wasn't brought up with any religion and couldn't just believe without evidence.

because the so-called athiests heart is hard and only when they turn to Jesus will He heal them. They say there is no God because that hardened heart that we all had when we are born into sin, is what seperastes us from God and we can't see Him. Only by having our heart healed and softened can we see God. The so-called atheists are blind and can't see God, because of there hardened heart, so therefore assume that God doesn't exist.

Joh 12:40 "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, Lest they should see with their eyes, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them."

deserves a study

You are obviously far too shallow to comprehend the answer, so I suggest that you give up and remain in your sheltered little make believe world.

"plus this world is just too complex"
do you realize that the dimmer you are the more complex the world appears to you?

there are more logical valid explanations for the world you know....and as for everything you have ever prayed for- positive psychological boost or coincidence.......whatever...look,we don't have a problem with YOU having your beliefs...you can believe in the easter bunny for all we care..just try to understand that there are people in this world who don't believe in your God just like you don't believe in Ra,krishna, lakshmi, amon, aphrodite, venus, volupta etc etc!
