I'm wondering if being right or left handed has anything to do with religion. Are religious people more likely to be right or left handed? Or does it matter? Plus I'm bored.
I'm an atheist and I'm left handed.

Also, only 5% of the population is left handed, so it's neat to find out who is ^_^.

Well, I'm right-handed and a spiritualist. My friend esben is ambidextrous and atheist and his girlfriend is left-handed and a spiritualist. So I think it's more about how you're brought up and what your social baggage is.

Interesting question!
As you wisely acknowledged, right-handedness is much more common than left-handedness. Accordingly, I'm afraid your data in response to this question are not going to be very helpful. That is, so few left-handed people will respond that you won't be able to have any confidence in a relationship between handedness and religiosity.
Sorry about the scientific answer you didn't ask for. I'm a right-handed atheist.

I am right handed
but the theory is that most creative people are left handed ( right brainers )
creativity and spirituality should go hand in hand ( not religious )
what I have found is that as your spirituality progresses you become more able to be a little ambidextrous and find the use of your left a little easier
just some personal observations :o)

An agnostic and a lefty. I think left-handed people are more unconventional in their thinking, so more likely to be agnostic, atheist, free-thinker, or otherwise unorthodox in their beliefs.
It doesn't help, either, that for centuries the Church associated left-handedness with being wicked and countless millions of lefties had their hands smacked with a ruler by cranky old nuns in parochial school...

Right-Atheist. Has nothing to do with it. Most the population is right handed so most religious people are also going to be right handed. No correlation.

I'm left-handed, and following the left-hand path in witches' terms. Perhaps there is a correlation. The symbolic value of left-hand and right-hand is so strong that you may indeed have hit upon something here. I have known right-handed witches and wizards, but I must say I think we may be disproportionately left-handed.

I am right handed, I don't think that has anything with religion, I grew up without one untill I was 19, and I am still right handed, although, I try to practice trowing the ball with my left hand and I hve to say that it gets better with practice.
