Wouldn't it be more beneficial to stay home and cook a turkey omelette and wheat toast this morning after a 5 mile run?

The real sin is spending God's money on junk food for the freeloading parishioners. ***Oh oh, I see some of you Christians are quite vengeful, but "Vengence is mine, saith the Lord." So who do yo think you are?***

Certainly the omelet and toast are far more beneficial than the donuts. But the term "sin" is not equivalent to "not beneficial." It may be used as such by people on a diet (like that "sinfully delicious" dessert).

On the other hand, gluttony is one of the seven deadly . . . Do you really know of a church that serves donuts after the service?

God is inside you. I don't think you should force yourself to sit in the church when you are thinking about food all the time.......lol, Believe me if you will sit at home and Cook turkey omelette and toast, God will still be inside you and bless you. He only gets angry when you hurt someone. So do everything you want and feel God. But don't hurt anybody. Then may be you will have to go to church to find him.

It is not a sin to miss Church. I do not get where the donuts come in. Yes, that food would be more beneficial than the donuts, but not more beneficial than Church.

There is no requirement that you attend Church, but I will say that when I attend regularly, my mind and heart are more in tune with my faith, since "As a man thinketh, so is he" my life is better when my mind and heart are in the right place.

One time the Holy Spirit told me to walk out of church in the middle because I lead 2 guys to Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit the day before and they were having doubts if they were saved or not.So the Holy Spirit told me where they were at.They were at the basketball court and I had to reassure them that when they were ecstatic in joy when they got saved by Jesus the day before it was real and they were saved. They responded positively.See that was more important to God than me listening to someone talking about Y2K

No it is not a sin at all .We all have our own path to follow when it comes to our spiritual development. There are some old souls and some young souls and all must take their own time to reach a stage of relative perfection and we all have alot of time to do this. Remember that you must always look within your self for these kind of answers as to your own spiritual evolution.

You do whatever you want...Maybe use the hour to seek professional help like a shrink, because God will ignore you.
