I have an old Car Amplifier and am going to buy some standard Home Disco Speakers. Can I conect the speakers to the Car Amplifier? If so, How??

You can buy a decent 5.1 PC speaker setup for around £50. This will be a safety tested and reliable solution.

Or, you can try to run an old knackered DC powered car amplifier off AC mains current. If you get it wired incorrectly, you could burn your house down.

It's your choice, though...

Yes you can.

You will need a high current 12V power supply.

The impedance of the 'speakers you want to use will be at least as high as car 'speakers so that won't be a problem.

yes it can you must just get a power converter that has got a earth, because if you use a normal 12v adaptor there will be a big humming noise, and u should look at the omes of the speakers

i would recommend JBL speakers, the jbl speakers not only are they relatively cheap but produce clear and beautiful sound. as for subs you may choose brands such as kicker, soundstream, sony xplod etc all are cheap and give good bass for its individuality but it depends on how much your willing to spend. also everyone has their own personal preferences and opinions so remember to choose what you want that sounds best regardless if its reviewed bad or entry level vice versa, and even pop into to your local audio store and listen to the selection of speakers available. hope this helps :)
