Babies don't think about it, and they are saved because they are not accountable. Developmentally deficient adults aren't actively thinking about it, and they're saved because they are not accountable. Those that have never heard about Christ don't think about it and they are not accountable. So why not atheists? Why would they be excluded from heaven if they are not actively denying Christ at the time of death?

Or does entrance into Heaven depend on the last time you consciously thought about it?

That's very confusing. Atheists deny the existence of God but I assume that if you are acknowledging the existence of heaven that you must be acknowledging the existence of God. You need to resolve the contradiction in favor of one view or the other. Actually, you are probably pulling our collective leg.

If you are an atheist, you have set in your heart that you do not believe in the existence of God. In order to be saved, you MUST:
1. Believe in/on the Lord Jesus Christ
2. Believe that He died for your sins (so that you don't have to worry about going anywhere BUT heaven when you die
3. Believe that He rose again!

It sounds like you know more about the Christian faith than you let on. Being saved and going to heaven is just the tip of the ice burg - being a true child of God is Love and Peace and Joy, no matter what each day brings! Seek Him out for yourself!

I wish you well!

From what I've been able to discover, Children are not accountable until they know the difference from right and wrong (good and evil) and the same applies to mentally challenged adults. It has little to do with actively thinking about it. Until they obtain that knowledge, their parents (or spiritual guardians) are responsible for them and are held accountable for their actions, since their actions are a result of the parents influence and supervision. Once we understand the difference between right and wrong, we are accountable for our actions and will be judged by them.

In Christianity, Christians are responsible for sharing the knowledge that accepting Christ as your savior and asking Him into your life is all that is needed to be saved. Again, though, when you have been given that knowledge and have chosen to either accept it or reject it, your choice carries with it consequences. This acutally applies to most religions and you are judged not only at your death, but by others during your life, by your actions and deeds. It is a universal rule that with knowledge comes responsiblity whether it be spirtual knowledge or imperical knowledge. It is lack of knowledge that keeps one innocent, not ignoring it or not utilizing it.

In my answering your question, I am responsible for my sharing of the knowledge (and as a Chrisitian I will be held accountable if I misguide or mislead you), and you are now responsible for judging its truth and then acting upon it.

Entrance into Heaven depends on your fervent kneeling at the Baptist preacher's altar, while doing the special incantation.

I emphasize the word 'fervent' and there's another word I forget just now, but you get the idea. I'm surprised you don't know this.

Jesus requires fervor, and he wants to hear praise. If you didn't do the incantation, you can forget about Heaven.

Contact your local Baptist church for details, and have your credit card ready.

To be an atheist one has to deny Christ. To be not actively thinking about it at the time does not make a person unaccountable. When you are dying, that God you are so sure doesn't exist will suddenly become very important to you, if you have time to think about it.

Don't mix your theories. If you're an "atheist," you don't believe in "divine salvation." If you're asking whether so-called "religious" people would believe that you were saved, the answer is probably a resounding "No." Many of them won't even allow that people who have never heard of Jesus are off the hook. But who cares? It's like a child's game - they can't tag you "IT" if you're not playing.

It is God's decision, any human who tells you whether you will be saved or not is making a guess. Humans can not read a person's soul, only God.

If you're worried about being saved, you're clearly NOT an atheist.

Babies don't think about it because they don't know anything. You, however, are a grown person and you have consciously chosen not to believe in god. Good for you ^_^
