Why do people call Jesus God when the Bible is clear that he became sin on the cross? Why do people think that God would have become sin? Why do they ignore that the Bible says "there is no darkness in God"? Isn't it obvious that Jesus was the "unblemished Lamb of God"? How can the Lamb of God be God? How can the sacrifice be God?

Answer is very simple..
Tell me, you believe in Jesus or council of nicea?
Your answer lies in this question..
Just to add further. Human being is very complex..For any logic its extremely difficult to disassociate from age old parental beliefs for human..
Another problem is that the moment a christian believes in your logic he becomes extremely nearer to Islam, where as chrsitians are taught to hate islam from very childhood.

Mat 24:36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. Clearly showing that Jesus is not God, and that Jesus and God are not one and the same. Thus the Trinity fails also. If Jesus was a God it would break God's own words. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3 (Deuteronomy 5:7, Judges 6:10, Hosea 13:4) We clearly see that Jesus, if he existed, was either just a man, a prophet of God or if indeed he was the Messiah, he should under no circumstances should be worshiped as a God. There is no concept of worshiping the Messiah in Judaism. God is God alone. The Messiah, Jesus or any other are not God.

Jesus is God in the flesh. The second part of the Trinity. Jesus became sin on the cross. When Jesus was on the cross and said,

Matthew 27:46 Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

It was at that moment that God(the first part of the Trinity) had to turn away from Jesus, because Jesus was sin(sin can not be in the presence of God)

The Trinity is God the Father, Jesus, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
John 1: 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:1–3, 14, KJV).

In these verses, John used the phrase “the Word” in exchange for Jesus Christ. The Word of God created all thrones, all powers, all rulers, and all authorities here on earth and in Heaven. Jesus created the earth and everything in it, even the smallest insects and the specks of dust in the atmosphere.

The Word holds the universe together for all time from the beginning to the end. He’s the head of his body the church; he’s the firstborn from the dead. Jesus Christ, as part of the Holy Trinity, controls all things on earth. (Col. 1:15–20).

1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters (Gen. 1:1, 2, KJV).

(2 Cor. 13:14). God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit have always been, and they always will be. With the Lord there’s no beginning and no end. The Lord is unchanging: the same throughout eternity (Matt. 28:19).

The three persons of the Holy Trinity are distinct and separate: yet, they are one (Eph. 4:4–6). This gives us the mystery of the Godhead

Holy Trinity—One God
The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit,
three separate Persons, and yet One.
Divine mystery beyond perception.
We look at One—We look at All.
We pray to One—We pray to All.
We love One—We love All.
One love’s us—All love us.
Father–Son–Holy Spirit—One God.

Your thinking is right. Read Proverbs 8:22-31, Colo 1:15-17, Rev :3:14, Jesus is the first son that God created and was with his father from times long ago. To get to know why people make the mistake of thinking he is God, you need to look back in history using the bible as your guide. If you ponder over the things written you will find the answers. If you have question feel free to ask for scriptural guidance.

Jesus is a part of the Godhead. There is God the Father.God the Son and the Holy Spirit.Just like you have a body a soul(MIND) and a spirit.Jesus is God.I have experienced all 3.They work for the same purpose but have different jobs. When you have a personal relationship with Jesus He teaches you these things but it takes a long time. The Holy Spirit tells you what you should do.Jesus is our bridge to God the Father. And God the Father is like a Father when you are going the wrong way He straightens you out fast.I stood before God the Father and all I could do is be in awe shake, cry, and listen.

What God did does defy logic. God becomes a man and lives a perfect life. Therefore there was no darkness in Him. He was the unblemished Lamb of God. God then laid the sin of the world upon Him on the cross. He then became the substitutional sacrifice for us. He was still without sin, in that He never committed it. What God did on our behalf is staggering in its implications. Our human minds cannot possibly fathom all the ramifications of what God did and why. That is one reason why it is an unforgivable sin to reject it.

Where do you get that Jesus became sin? Jesus went to the cross for yours and mine and eveyones else sin. Jesus was sinless. God the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are One. We don't ignore that the that there is no darkness in God, He is light He always has been. God the Father gave His Only Son Jesus to die on the cross

Hello and first lets get the bible's view on Jesus being God shall we, in Hebrews 13:8 we are told Jesus Christ has ALWAYS been, and in Hebrews 1:5-9 The Father Himself address Jesus as God, and in John 8:58 Jesus is called The I AM which is the very one in Exodus 3, with Moses and The burning bush, The bible is clear on Jesus being God plus Jesus forgave sins [Matt.9:5] Now when Mankind sinned they as it were pulled The plug on life, Jesus said to that serpent a interesting thing, in Gen. 3 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
That was telling mankind and satan one day someone would come and end this sin problem, Jesus gave up His divine body for one like yours and when He returned to Heaven and to The Father, He kept that same body FOREVER, marks and all, He became The Lamb of God BY HIS CHOICE so you may choose life instead of death, find out more free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com

I suspect presently the 'confusion' is related to the English word God. There are multiple terms (ballpark estimate 10) in Hebrew that are translated into the one word God. Some terms are singular, some plural. Also John 1 refers to Jesus as God.

Yes Jesus became sin for us because God became a man; God was manifest in flesh as 1 Timothy 3.16 says. God is a spirit and the Holy Ghost overshadowed Mary and she became pregnant with his Son. God came into the world as FLESH through a virgin.
There is no darkness in God and Jesus said he is the Light of the word and if we follow him, we will not walk in darkness.
Acts 20.28 says that God shed his blood for us. The church was purchased with the blood of God.
The MAN (flesh) Jesus became sin for us, but God in Christ was reconciling the world unto himself.
"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." 2 Corinthians 5.21
