Would you continue to say we must have troops fighting in Iraq and that the president and his government have it wrong by eventually withdrawing?

My support of the war would continue, because we owe it to the Iraqi people and they want our help.
President Bush is not going to just stop supporting the war, he is a steadfast leader.
God Bless America our Troops and Commander in Chief !!!

This is not a War with Iraq, this is a World War for religious freedom. There have been many great Americans who have died for this so far. This is a War that could have been prevented is Clinton would have acted earlier. I stand behind Bush and our Military, but we are losing. If Hillary gets in she will pull all of the troops, and we will have peace, but no freedom. Our core values will be lost in liberalism and more people will convert to Islam. Christianity will be evil, and the fact that the religion has no good spokesman does not help. We are now witnessing the religious collapse of the world. All of our freedoms are slowly being taken away. This is the beginning of the end, and we all need to pick a side.

If we would fight the war to win, I would say to stay over there until we stabilize the area. Fighting to win wasn't done in Korea or Nam, nor is it being done now. Our government leaders were afraid of the war escalating into something bigger, hence we lost 60,000 soldiers in those two wars.

To win the Iraqi war, we need to destroy the safe havens in other countries, the supply of war materials, and seize the money support the insurgents. We are not doing this, hence we will not achieve total victory.

One correction to your question. Bush will never stop supporting the war in Iraq. He will however, agree at some point that it is time to begin drawing down forces eventually.

As far as me supporting it. The only thing I can say is doing it the way congress is trying to right now IS NOT the way to do it. That would have been like us telling Japan exactly when and where we were dropping the bomb. Or telling Germany when we were invading Normandy.

why is eventually withdrawing having it wrong? the idea is real simple. its either here or there and al qaeda doesnt care which. the only thing "wrong" is letting liberals use the war for personal gain. I will support it regardless. its life over death.

This is a catch 22. If we pull out we leave many Innocent people to be killed and of coerce they will use this to there advantage such as : We drove the infidels out, the U.S. are weak and so on. If we stay, then we send more of OURS
to be killed. I fought in many skirmishes or wars, but are they for the good of the People or of the U.S. ? Support this war NO, support our Troops YES.

We should be supporting the war no matter who the president is. I notice no mention of Afghanistan. We should be supporting the guys there, too.

No. As empahasized over and over, again and again that this is just temporary until Iraq can govern by itself, and so it is.
