my parents will never understand truly why their son who was tops in class during age 6-11 did so badly in school during 12-16.

I can never understand how hurt my parents must have felt when the school had to call them up for "meet the parents" session when I didn't do well in school during my teens, 12-16 years old. I was bottoms of the class.

My parents understand the mental and physical tests I had to went through during 20-22 when I joined the military and air force but they can never understand the paths I took to learn the lessons.

Then they can never understand how I stood up again when I was went aboard from Singapore to Australia to do my degree in Electrical Engineering, won a best team project prize in Uni during the first year and a best thesis award in the Uni then the State during my final year.

and the one thing they can never understand truly now.....is that I did not just stood up for myself alone.........

I am doing it for them too :)

To have a son they can be proud of,
And me to show them I love them,

and now at this stage of life which just began for me, career and businesses and life goals and friends and family...

I hope to achieve and accomplish alot...
So they can finally understand...

"I love you, Father and Mother"
And we will finally understand happiness together again,
When I come back home after the journey.
I truly hope it will be worth it"

Thanks for asking this question Black.

One day, I hope our feelings can again be understood by all those we love and cherish. :)

Let's chase the hope , shall we ? *smiles*

Grownups never seem yo understand the mind of a child . But merely because you assert some thing is not to be taken as granted. Analise it convenience the parents understand their point of view and then assert my boy.

My parents will never understand that material things mean nothing 2 me. I would much prefer the simple things in life. Material stuff is so cliche.

Well, my Dad's dead, but I think my mother will never fully understand the depth of feeling I've experienced in regards to my spiritual convictions.

Why I am not like them. I am the complete opposite of them. They hate this, and they will never understand why.
