Why do ppl hate them so much, they play great defense, the same defense that the Bad Boys of Detroit played in 89 and 90. They play this kind of defense because it works, and the other teams would do it too if they had players like Bruce and Manu. The other teams are just being crybabies because they don't know how to beat the Spurs defense. what ppl deem as dirty defense is reall old school defense. Refs in the 70s dont call fouls on such little things such as little touches. Steve Nash complained every time he missed an easy layup, it was funny. Amare was shut down , and has anyone notice that he never guards Duncan. LOL, go Spurs!!!

People hate them because they don't play what one person here called 'starball'. Thought that was so appropriate. Stoudemire doesn't guard Timmy because he CAN'T. And you are sooo right about Bruce and Manu. Bruce obviously studied at the Terry Cummings School of Defense (*smile*). If other teams could lure him and Manu away, it would be pretty funny to see how quickly they stopped calling them dirty and started defending them!

amare is a girl. He doesn't guard tim duncan as he would get in foul trouble way to early. I wouldnt say that the spurs are playing dirty as EVERYone is saying because they need an excuse for getting owned !!
and last years excuse against the Lakers was that the refs were baised. Get a grip D'Antoni!!

It's debatable, but they really are a staple of how a good team should be.
It's too bad there's Bruce Bowen who made dirty plays and sooner or later will put a stain on Spurs legacy.

Well right now the Spurs and Pistons are playing the best basketball and I see them both making the finals.

hell no....west ham have got to be the best.....to escape relegation after winning 7 of the last 9 games & the last game against the league champions on the final day of the season!
