I'm afraid I'm one of those strange people who don't get scared by Horror movies, which is slightly annoying!
the last movie that scared me in any way was a Zombie flick that my parents let me watch when i was a little boy (way to young) where a German Nazi Zombie came crawling out o a river.
That caused a few bad nights for me, but as an Adult i have yet to see a scary film that bothers me in anyway shape or form sorry!

They're not really creepy but Gaspar Noe's trilogy: Carne, I Stand Alone & Irreversible have a wonderfully haunting and disturbing quality.

I don't like "...in your face horror", ..I don't find them frightening at all. But the two films which I've seen and send a shiver down my spine are The Sixth Sense, and The Others. Both films build up atmosphere through unsettling sounds, lighting, and strong performances from the characters.

all right, if standard horror isn't your thing, maybe some psychological thrillers might be right up your alley. check out Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, Lost Highway, and Mulholland Drive. all are films made by David Lynch, the master of creepy. don't expect to understand the latter two films though. just go with it. if you want to see some really disturbing stuff, check out Welcome to the Dollhouse, Happiness, and Storytelling. all were made by Todd Solondz, all have moments of creepiness and disturbia that are unbelievable. and if that doesn't leave you with that i-need-a-shower feeling, try a Greg Araki movie called Mysterious Skin. i consider myself pretty much totally desensitized and this movie made me sick. it's really a well-made movie, but don't say i didn't warn you.
