Can't we dump d waste on any other PLANETof the universe..????
I mean " the waste" produced by us human....which is causing """"a lot of harm""""" to the whole human race.............. can't it just not be dumped in to the universe and save d world from polluting...??????? Y haven't yet our Great Scientists come up wit this idea..???????

As for the fuel cost, can't v collect minimum amount of money from every house of every country...!!!! After all its for our benefit......!!!!!!!!!

"Would it be feasible to dump all the waste on Earth onto another planet such as Mercury?" No. Right now, it costs something like US $10,000 per pound to launch something into Earth orbit. Sending something into space - whether to another planet, a deep-space orbit about the Sun, into the Sun itself, or into an escape trajectory from our solar system - is even more expensive. Even with economies of scale from building fleets of so-called "big dumb boosters", any effort to send a significant fraction of non-recyclable waste alone into space would simply bankrupt the world. But that's not all. Think of the transportation of all that waste to suitable launch sites, and all the pollution that would cause. Think of all the energy needed to produce the fuel needed to power all those rockets. Think of the industrial infrastructure required to *build* all those rockets. It simply is not doable. It's not even doable if you limited it, as some have suggested, to toxic and/or radioactive waste. Recycling and storage of waste materials produced on the ground is a ground-based problem, and always will be. Which isn't to say that the problem is insurmountable - it's just that dumping into space isn't an option for addressing it. P.S. Removing man-made waste from the Earth won't really change its orbit. The fractional mass of the waste compared to that of the Earth is insignificant, and the mass of the Earth compared to that of the Sun is very small as well. The Earth's orbit about the Sun essentially depends only on the Sun's mass and the velocity of the Earth.

Nope, not a good idea. yes we will save our planet but we will contaminate the universe or some planet as well. Who knows what will happen to those wastes up there. It might augment solar radiation, create mutant species of bacteria that can kill you. And some items of the universe would be polluted by human materials, well so much for discovering things up there because they are already contaminated with our fingerprints. (Like in a crime scene. Officers will not let civilian because they might contaminate the evidence or the scene of the crime and some evidence might loose value because a civilian wipe it clean.)

It is not only reduced to the simple cost of fuel, collected house by house...its the whole technology behind it....
Designing and launching a waste spaceship, carrying a useless load of **** and costing billions...I doubt very much that any government would be interested in such a project unfortunately...
However, we have terrestrial methods of disposal of biological and non biological waste, (our environmental engineers are quite good at that) even recycle it...wouldt it be more practical?---I think so...

idea is great, only u will have to do is to create a gravitational pull on d planet u want to dump waste, A BIT DIFFICULT, ISN'T IT??.also, some planets r made of gases.so, even if v dump waste there,it will float in space. and u should know, there is much more waste flying in d outer space that is moving at speed more than fastest rocket on earth. this idea is been tried out , u see......

The minimal amount of money required to pay fuel and transport costs of a few pounds of household rubbish into space would be hundreds of times more than you will ever earn in your lifetime.

It's a monumental waste of resources. How many pounds of rocket fuel to dispose of one pound of waste?
