Elevator operator in a two story building.
This is not a joke, the state capitol building of California has one of these guys - all dressed up and saying "going up" or "going down" every day of their miserable lives.
I visited the state capitol as an elementary school student - seeing this guy motivated me to study hard and do well so I never have a job like that.
