Definitely if the marriage in the country has been solemnised legally according to the matrimonial laws of that country & if you have a proper license/certificate with regards to the marriage issued by the competent authority of that country or your Passport has an entry of your being married with name of you spouse entered in it. For example you are a UK guy get married with an Indian person according to Indian matrimonial law that allows such Inter-racial or inter-national marriage in India then the marriage certificate issued by the marriage officer/registrar in India will be legal & valid in UK, similarly if you are UK guy married with UK person in India according to matrimonial law that allows such marriage between foreigners in India, marriage certificate issued by the marriage officer/registrar will be legal & valid in UK. The same law exists for all marriages that are legal & valid being preformed any where in the world in any country.

Well I guess that depends on the country.....If you were married by an Indian Chief, then it probably wouldnt be legal in another country. I cant think of any other country where you marry it wouldnt be legal anywhere else. If you have a piece of paper saying you are married and is signed by a justice of the peace, a minister or a judge, then it would be legal. If unsure, ask the person who is marrying you.
