It seems windows media player(WMP) doesn't like the current driver for your device(mp3 player). Try downloading the driver on-line from the Creative website or install the driver directly to your computer from a drivers CD(usually in the box that the mp3 player came with) or you could just update the driver from control panel. This is how to do that:
1. Go to Control Panel(it's in the windows menu).
2. Once in there, click on System.
3. Then click on the Hardware tab.
4. Then click on the Device Manager button.
5. There should be a list of devices that are currently used by your computer, scan through the devices, then select your device(mp3 player) from the list. Then right click on the mp3 player and there should be an "update Driver" option available.
6. Choose the "Yes, this time only option", then click next.
7. On the next screen, let windows "install the device automatically" (using the Internet). NOTE: Windows MIGHT prompt you for a restart after the installation.
You should be able to transfer songs now.

inventive Zen Micro. As Mr. Vise Grips mentioned, it would not 'lock' you into iTunes, and that i think of it is in basic terms much less perplexing to apply. i don't understand from journey, yet i've got heard that the inventive Zen Micro lasts longer than the iPod. i've got self assurance it - the Zen Micro is amazing.
