Why are you letting your judgment be clouded by the bizarre rants of the woman relieved and demoted because she did not control her soldiers in the Abu Ghraib prison?

The answer is no. They are not so different from any other male animal that feels the need to show physical dominance. This need is based on fear. If they did not see women as a threat they would not need to do this. There will always be a small percentage that is confident enough in their abilities to defer from this behavior, but the they are the exception not the rule.

Most female soldiers do not walk around in fear. You should really find a better source for your information.

I don't think your statement holds much water. There are far fewer sexual assaults in the military than in private life. Women who are in the military are simply more open to their plights, as the military regimentation affords them a quicker resolve that public life does; and, generally, without the negativism or stigmas that are attached to them when they claim rape or assault, or even harassment. This is why it makes the news. Very few rapes are even in the news and the non military female has much more to lose than a military woman.

You must understand that soldiers (male or female.) are under high stress. I will not support their illegality , but we should try to understand that they are also human being. Giving publicity to such stories is not fair.

Women were never ment to be in this situation, because of the closeness of men and women. The only time that it wound be right was in the 1800s when they came in covered wagons but then they were with their families.
