i cant use pills because i have other medication and i'm afraid it'll have some bad effects if i took one.
my bf and i also is using condom and sometimes withdrawal method but i really want to be sure and i still dont understand about calendar method something...
so let me understand is it safe to have sex 5 days before or after your period?

correct me if i'm wrong, i still a lil confused... on days 14-28 your are safe to have sex? is that right?

7 days before because your not fertile egg its released from the ovary and after your period.because you body haven't released the fertile egg yet..but remember your cycle its never accurate...so use the pills as guidance..like I used to...you are suppose to start the pills on the 5th day of your period..so count 3 weeks and 2 days from that date...that's when your period should come...if not by any chance..wait 2 weeks..if not wait a month and take a pregnancy test...
This method always worked for me...but if anything why don't you try the patch or ring??..or just ask your doctor...i'm sure she can help you better..because no everybody its the same..
But remember there is always a 50% chance..

If you are using condoms then that should be good enough. Condoms are about 97% effective, while the calendar method is around 50% effective. In general, 5 days before and after your period you are not likely to get pregnant, but it is possible.

5 days before your period is a big OK! but i doubt 5 days after.. you are fertile by the 10th day after ur period..
