you blowed it up. time to have it TOWED to the mechanic and have him tell you it would be cheaper and better to use it as a trade-in.

Hard to say for sure. It would help to know what type of motor you are running, 3.1, 3.4, or 3.8Ls. Just a thought, a lot of these motors had trouble with timing chains, belts, tensioner bearings for either, or idler bearings for either. I'm not saying for sure as the sound is not described as emmanating from anything in particular. Try to get it started and attempt to narrow down where the sound is coming from and go from there. Obviously there are damaged parts internally and you will have to do some amount of tear down to find out what has happened. When you pinpoint the area the noise comes from, that will lead you to where the tear down should focus on. Good luck.

Sorry i have no answer, but i will say get your car over to a trusted mechanic and have them do a diagnosis on it. Once the trouble is pin pointed, decide.

Best wishes...

sometimes cars sound and feel like a total loss, however in my own experience, don't count it out until you know for sure, this might be caused by something very easily fixed or replaced...

What you like isn't a "basic" fix. although that's achievable. you could desire to change the decrease intake gaskets. This demands approximately 4.5 hours of hard artwork in accordance to the Chilton hard artwork instruction manual. A grasp qualified automobile tech like myself does it in a pair of million.5 hours. We nevertheless gets a commission 4.5 hours although. that's observed as "flag value". in case you do no longer understand what you're doing take it to a reliable shop. you like a ASE qualified automobile service technician to do this fix. additionally you could request that the techs use the "concern SOLVER intake GASKETS " set from FELPRO GASKETS. then you definately will eliminate incredibly some your complications.
