This may sound like a crazy question, but...If you could choose between delivering a speech (only about a 5 minute speech, which you wrote yourself and have memorized for the most part) in front of 30 people, or 3,000 people, which would you choose, and why? Please explain! (For example (30, because there's not as many people to worry about what they're thinking of my speech, or because I could make eye contact with all of them, etc.)) THANKS!!!

3,000 easier to get lost in the crowed afterward.

I would make my speech in front of 3,000 people because I might never get that chance again. You could always find an audience of 30 but 3,000 is not an everyday thing. Lets just cross our fingers that what I say is remotely interesting! =)

I would choose 3,000 because being a larger crowd I would assume there would be a lesser chance of people butting in. Others often dont like to interupt and speak out whilst in such a large situation, they do it amongst themselves, whereas in a smaller crowd of 30 you would be more likely to have to answer the 'smarty-pants' that want to steal the show. With a larger crowd you can get away with ignoring any stupid comments coming your way, therefore your message will come across clearer and smoother.

if my speech was really, really good and i have confidence in it, i would like the group of 3,000. i know that sounds crazier than your question because not everyone likes delivering speech in a big crowd, but i guess that if you want the whole world to know what a good speech you have, then might as well invite the whole world.

1 or 1million, wants you have to give a speech in front of an audience, it's all the same.
Just remember this, imagine that they are all naked.
Don't worry about eye contact, just kook over the sea of faces, and imagine they're naked.

I am not worried about the amount of people, I would prefer a smaller group so I had the chance to answer questions.

Probably the 3000. It would be easier to disappear into the crowd afterwards, but harder to get out of the parking lot.
