tttpltttt, even conservative publications gave it favorable reviews, so it's hardly like some hatchet job against the war. And I think this teaches kids to think critically since they're going to have to assess the viewpoints presented and see how valid they are.

Baghdad ER is a documentary, not a text book. And a very GRAPHIC documentary. Some parents may not want their children to be exposed to war in high school. The fact that this teacher wanted to force his views down the throats of those kids doesn't make him intelligent. I don't care how much you disagree with the war, don't mess with people's children. Teach the basics and leave your politics out of it.
I bet you've never even been to Nebraska.

Louisiana according to national ratings. Certain school districts have lowered the passing grade to 45 (on a 100 scale) as passing in order to dumb down the system, so more pass, the school stays open and they get more tax Dollars for improved graduation figures.

Well I think it must be Indiana since our State didn't pass the last ISTEP and lost it's funding from the No Child Left Behind Act. It was from the results of the illegal immigration into the State. The Latinos can't speak any English.

California. When my son was in second grade half the kids in his class only spoke Spanish. He only speaks English. The teacher would say everything in English and then repeat it all in Spanish. Half of the day my son had to sit there and listen to the teacher teach in Spanish. That takes time away from my sons learning. I'm all for learning a second language. Just as long as it's in language class.
