If you pay via PayPal you have some comeback. They can refund the money and Ebay can close their account down, whilst PayPal are investigating any issue their account is locked.

We bought a psp last year. On looking at feedback of seller it was 100% good after paying through paypal the seller then did not send the psp. After a few emails we got the telephone number of the seller. He said that he was about to send as only posted once a week. His feedback then showed four negative of people not receiving the items. Then I got an email from the seller stating that his premises had been burgled and he was having to wait for insurance payment to restock his warehouse. He included the local police station and a crime number. I contacted them and they had no record.
I contacted ebay and paypal. I also email the other buyers who had left negative feedback and they put in complaints to ebay too.
After two weeks I got my money back from paypal and the seller is no longer a member of ebay.

Hi Steve s, I had this happen on me last year. This young woman had a nice laptop on ebay and she had it buy it now. The price was $169.00 i thought what a deal and so i purchased the laptop. The seller wanted payment as soon as the buyer purchase the laptop. Some of the sellers do this so it's nothing to worry about i thought!! I waited for over 2 weeks and no laptop. I try to get a hold of her by email no respone. So i went to ebay and found her phone # and called that. No one answer. Then i report it to paypal credit and told them what had happen. I did the right steps in trying to locate her and try to get things straighten out but no luck. Pay pal told me since i did do like i should of they will take over trying to locate her and if they do i will get all my money back because i went through pay pal to purchase this order. It's on file i paid for it through them. Anyway my friend found out that, that lady had sold it to another person after i had purchase the laptop. Anyway i got my money back and she was kick off of ebay. She can't even be a buyer at any of the ebays. I got my money and she got her!!! LOL LOL..
A Friend.

e-bay do nothing. One seller claimed in negative feedback he never received my money. The payment was through paypal, so i contacted eBay. They told me i would need to see a sollicitor and would have to prosecute the seller for deflamatory remarks made.
To this day the blatant lie is still there on the feedback.
eBAY DON'T GIVE A FLYING MONKEY BEYOND GETTING AS MUCH MONEY FROM YOU AS THEY CAN!
These days i don't even bother selling on it no more. It's a waste of time!

Ebay/paypal will ensure you to a certain extent against fraud. Ebayers who use ebay to defraud the public can go to jail - I've seen it happen. Ebay is usually interstate commerce and fraud constitutes mail fraud, which has very severe penalities. Never send cash or a money order and don't bid on items that require it. Use paypal or a credit card and you'll have some level of protection.

been working with ebay for awhile. if by paypal-one set of rules
ebay another set of rules like it has to cost between 25-75 dollars or something. Generally ebay is built on hits. Even after you talk with ebay and they concer, you will still get a negative that sticks for life.
Ebay is there to take a share of people paying little for something or when good, the dealers play an illegal game of jacking up the price. They all do it, good luck.
Shame its the only game in town.
Oh since ebay wont hesitate to turn over their files. How many people will have to pay back penalties for taxes not being filed correctly! Good luck to all you ebay nerds on that one. Hunting season is coming.
You answer bud, usually nothing

no they just get suspended. Makes no difference what so ever...
They only get prosecuted if you file a civil claim through the court... Costs approx £30 up to £100.
If you bought through paypal, file an item not received report through them and they will try to get your money back but it isnt always the full amount.

They don't do much to them until they've defrauded more than a couple people already. But if paid by PayPal, you can do a charge back or you can file fraud claims with eBay and get up to $200 back if you win the claim.

Depends how much is involved, what country the seller is in. Best pay through Paypal by credit card then you are covered.

nicely, ebay is a sturdy place to purchase sturdy fakes as there is no way i could pay super quantities for a handbag whilst they could make it in China a similar for much less. I hate people who report issues on there, as you in basic terms desire experience to confirm if it is unique or pretend. as consequently absolutely everyone reporting their 10 pound Chanel solar hues as pretend, i will't purchase any sturdy fakes on there from now on. you in basic terms ask the seller for a reimbursement and in the event that they do no longer supply you one, you could pass away feedback to declare it is a pretend so different consumers comprehend.
