indeed this year's voting was the worst ever ,totally political nothing to do with music. the countries paying for it do the worst, britain, france and the other 2 should withdraw and let the eastern bloc pay for it.

It is supposed to be a fun contest but the voting for your neighbor bit has become so ridiculous that, in my opinion, there is no point to the competition anymore. I think it is a huge waste of money and that we should no longer participate or fund it (Go Italy) and start a new competition in the UK and Ireland where the finalist of each county participate in a contest similar to eurovision. The funding would encourage our artists and give the singers/groups in the UK and Ireland a chance to be heard. It would be more fun (I should actually be able to understand the song when sung in England - I mean what is the point of singing so many songs in such heavily accented English that you can't understand the words anyway). Keep the money internally and great a fun competition here.

Why don't Eastern Europe have their own Eurovision? That way they can vote for each other and continue with their political back scratching and see how they like it. As for the winning song...what a load of rubbish! Scooch's song wasn't the worst by far, in fact I thought it was one of the better, modern enteries, even if it is still not very good. Perhaps the rest of Europe still hates the UK (with exception to Malta). I'm glad the Ukraine didn't win if they think that they can just camp it up it will guarantee them to win in the Eurovision, although it did make Scooch look tame in comparison.

The whole contest should be scrapped!

It doesn't reflect the latest sounds / artists and the judging panels are probably returned to their museums after the show has finished.

My suggestion would be to create a separate contest with the same setup but with music of the now and not the usual garbage that gets churned out every 12 months.

I don't think you can really take the Eurovision seriously. I only watch it cause most of the preformances are hillarious. And why can't Great Britain choose someone better for the contest?

That's ridiculous, how can we expect to win every time or even a large number of times. It used to be a very small competition and therefore with only a small number of entries the chance of winning was greater. What you are suggesting is akin to a kid in the playground saying that he has to be the winner in a game of football or he'll go home and take his ball with him, childish.

The voting *IS* a joke and should be changed, but who cares - it's just a bit of harmless fun, even if it is unadulterated kitsch.

The stage and light show was quite something, though, wasn't it?

To be fair we just shouldn't enter because of the really bad music

tactical voting has always been there in this competition and with groups like scooch we will never get more than the points we did last night (second last ,joke)
