'roman soldier', maybe you should read my question properly instead of being stupid. My question is why are they unique to Australia? Other countries are surrounded by water and they don't have kangaroos, so why is Australia the only country with kangaroos?

I believe that millions of years ago, Australia was connected to the rest of the continents. But, it broke off of the rest of the continents first, so it became isolated from the rest of the world. This created a smaller gene pool relatively and allowed the evolution (if you believe in it) of marsupials that are unlike any other animal anywhere else.

These mammals evolved in Australia since the continent was isolated geographically. They didn't travel to other continents to share their differences with other populations.

Australia is completely surrounded by water. It's not like they have boats or airplanes they can take to travel around the world.

For the same reason you don't find grizzly bears in
Africa, or a Rhino in Canada.
species evolve to fit a niche and some never spread.
some do, like rat's and seagulls
North America does have a marsupial ,the Opposum.
