If I found out a friend of mine was a sex offender against a child (which you state the victims were 12-15) then I would have nothing more to do with him. These people make themselves outcasts of society by perpetrating crimes against our children.
I doubt other people you know will appreciate you bringing this friend around.
Dont just tell your other friend, show him.

Your lookin at a fight.... Especially if your friend is aggressive at all. I mean the one that is a pedophile. I would just drop a hint in some round about way. Sex offenders need to be known to the public! How else will anyone protect their children if not for people who care.

That question is a loaded gun if i have ever seen one!! Let me ask you a series of questions...Has he moved to that area from out of state? Some sexual offenders fail to register with the police when they arrive, As required by law. Did the posting state if he was a tier 1,2 or 3 offender? Tier 1 is unlikely to repeat their crime. Tier 2 is most likely to repeat their crime. Tier 3 is an active predator, Awaiting an opportunity. Is your friend of the age group the the sex offender seeks his prey from?. Would i tell my friend? Without a doubt!! Would i check with the police if this man has any active warrants? Heck Yeah!!! Do you want to see you friend get hurt? I doubt it. Your friend needs this information to protect himself/herself from this predator.

Its not easy.... you don 't know what the situation was, but the fact that he is hiding it tells you it probably wasn't something illegal that is kinda bad but not so bad like a 15 year old with an 18 year old (freshman and senior) still kinda wrong, but makes sense. Definately need to tell any friends that might be vulnerable.

That's horrible. For the sake of the child and the other children that the offender might get to, you need to turn him in. You could make it confidential so your friend doesn't have to know it was you. If your close friend is really your friend, you should tell him that you turned his friend in, because that is doing what's best for everybody.

i have a close relative who is a sexual offender. the important thing to remember is that THEY ARE STILL A PERSON. you should just ask them about and give them the chance to tell you their story, then decide for yourself what to do.
oh, and before anyone tells me that I don't know how horrible it is to be raped or molested, I do. It happened to me. (not by the relative) And let me tell you, there is recovery, both for the offender and the offendee. It comes through God alone, but it is there.

tell her plain and simple. I would never withhold that info from my best freind, a casual aquaintance or someone i hated! Its for her protection or if she has children their protection. Once you tell her then its up to her to decide if she wants to continue the relationship

I have some friends that it wouldn't surprise me if they were. In fact a lot of them I just assume they are so when they drop the bomb it's not that big of a deal.
