Darker colors absorb more heat, and reflect less of it than lighter colored ones, like white or silvers. Red and blue cars wouldn't absorb as much heat as black ones, though they still would get a good amount, since they are richer colors. This has been proven.

ok, if u put a balck car inside the sun, i would bet that the red, white, or blue car would last longer - heres why - heat and light, are basically the same, just in different forms. 'White' light is composed of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indego and violet. Each of these 'colours' have different frequencies and so have slightly different properties. You see 'white' because each one of these colours is reflected off an object to your eyes. i.e. none of them are absorbed by the object. If the object was blue, then it is only blue because only blue is reflected to your eye. The other colours were absorbed by the object. a black object absorbs all of the colours and nothing is reflected to your eye - so it is black. Now since it is black and absorbs all of the colours, it gets hotter faster and so would not last as long. writer_bob@yahoo.co.uk

Black. no count number what the time of the twelve months. the issue what we call black is extra like a fact that a substance at which we seem is soaking up all colorings of sunshine. pink is the form of substance, which absorbs usually the colours distinctive than pink, which it always reflects. of direction that is not mentioned that it has to take in them thoroughly. that's the reason we've distinctive colorations of each and every colour - it quite is a mixture of distinctive co lours of sunshine meditated by making use of the exterior. Now, because of the fact the mild - and for this reason, warmth - is absorbed suitable by making use of the black colour than it may be the black automobile that often is the well-liked. it could be even warmer if it had white upholstery interior (white refracts each and all of the mild, for this reason the mild and the warmth could get interior and get away slower because of the fact it could be usually meditated interior the vehicle).

well, if I answer the question literally, if you put a black car inside the sun, it would probably last just as long as a white, red or blue car =)
---------------
edit:
they would all last so little that it would be impossible to detect which one lasts longer.
Also, the thing that would burn them down wouldn't be the rays of the Sun, it would be the extremely hot gas inside the sun.

Yes, it has been proven. Look up black body radiation and "gray body" radiation.
