First you need to make sure you can even hunt deer by using hounds. Most states won'l allow the use of coon dogs to hunt bears or cougars anymore.

Contact your local fish and wildlife office and they can tell you what to do if the deer are causing damage to your property etc. etc.

How about none. Hunting and eating those poor helpless animals of any kind is pure evil. Forget hunting. Go have a salad and take a dog for a walk!

In Arkansas we use coon dogs. The treeing walker coon hounds can run in pairs for days. They will run a deer to exhaustion. When they stop with the pooped deer they bay
differently and you can follow the sound to them and shoot your deer

Wow never hear of that one but here in Michigan we use human males. Well ok some females to but the males seem to produce the best depending on the type of beer you feed him.
