Yes, the son died as an infant. Prince was very hush, hush about this. A nanny implied that the baby hadn't been cared for properly and it went to court. The child had died of some problem it had been born with, but it was never fully explained in public. Prince was very angry and kept it as quiet as possible, all considered.
Prince and the child's mother later divorced. I can't remember her name, but last year or so she was dating Tommy Lee. What a change... Prince to Tommy Lee. LOL

Yeah, I do remember that.
He died as an infant of a genetic illness, but I don't know if it was ever said exactly what happened.
