You can be emancipated from her. But, it would go the same for your father. And I am not sure you sound like you are ready to be on your own.
I guess from the sound of your letter, your mother has not been the best. I assume she is out of your life right now.
What you can do, that would cost no money or not very much, is use your own computer to make your own set of 'divorce' papers. List your grounds for why you want this. Then list your own definition of this divorce. Sign it, send it to her. That way she knows how you feel.
You know doll, I am not going to defend her to you. But, mothers are not perfect and do make mistakes.
I am glad you have your father and he loves you.

I'm not sure where you are located, but the best thing to do would be to speak with a lawyer. Most will offer a consultation for no fee, so that's when you find the answers out. Another option would be to check with your state or provincial law society. Most of them will either answer your questions or refer you to a local lawyer who will.

I don't believe 'divorce' is the term you are looking for. It sounds like you want your father to have sole custody and your mother to lose any 'parental rights' she might have by virtue of being your birth mother. This sort of thing can indeed by done through a court of law, and yes you will need legal counsel to guide you through the steps. I really have no idea how much it will cost, but I am certain the more questions you ask, the better chance you have of getting what it is you truly want. Whatever that might be. Just be sure you know what that is. Good luck.

You don't get to divorce your mom. If you are living with your father now you CAN go to court and let the judge know that you do not want visitations with your mother, that you do not want her to be a part of your life. That my backfire on you and your dad though because once you do that your mom will no longer be liable for child support, that is IF your father is getting any to begin with. And yes your mother will have to be there because there are papers she will have to sign. So you ARE going to have to face her whether you WANT to or not...and keep in mind that just because you tell the judge what you want, doesn't mean you'll get it your way. The judge will make the ultimate decision.

To divorce a parent or be taken away from them, you must prove that you live in an unstable environment to a social worker. Google around for a local place.

An unstable place would be, say, where alcohol is involved, or drugs, or a turbulent/abusive relationship with your parents. Keep in mind that this doesn't work in a number of states, and the ones in which you CAN divorce your parents, you need to be a certain age.

Well you cant just get rid of your mother. You can get rid of her rights to you. You can make it where she cannot have anything to do with you anymore. But she will always be your mother in life and on paper work.

If she is in another state from you and you are with your father seems he already has custody? And from your writing I can see that you would not be eligible for emancipation.

Ever consider therapy?

You will never appreciate your parents until you have children of your own!
