If the government would spend money on our problems before wasting it all on other countries that can help their own damn selves (getting rid of guns just complicates more issues againt hunters and if someone wanted a gun to shoot someone they would just go find one somewhere anyways or just get some other weapon... like a sword...)

Accountability by the government was the whole point of the American revolution. The government is supposed to be "for the people, by the people", but somehow that is forgotten as one of two parties assume power that they're entitled to in succession without interruption. The result is a cyclical epidemic of abuses in power. What would change America for the better is when Americans vote for a president with good ideas, instead of one born into the rich elite.

A more democratic and generous government. Seriously, compared to Australia and some other countries, America is wealthy but behind in looking after its people. There is so much more open poverty. Any country where the government does not look after its people, will bring crime and poverty and many social problems, which can be intergenerational.
Also, stricter gun laws will see an end to a lot of needless shootings and crime.

Stiff and i do mean stiff gun control, affordable health care and day care for the ones that need it.
More food program for the homeless or anyone that is hungry and people just deciding to be kind to others.

Bible and discipline in schools.
Govt quit controlling religion (Jesus).
