Ok so I started my period when I was 13 in 2003 and I don't have a good relationship with my mom so I had my period for the first time and waited a week to tell her when my period ended. I wrote her a note and left it for her to find when I was at school. After when I got home from school she had tampons and pads and asked me which I would prefer I picked the tampons and she offered to show me how to use them. it was hard for me to work up the courage to tell her but I finally did the way I thought I could handle , so try writing her a note and leaving it somewhere for her. Eventually you are going to have to tell her and I am sure she will be there with open arms to help you with anything you need.

Just what is it you're afraid your mom will do if she finds out? It's not as though you've done something wrong. Having a period is normal for a young girl, so I don't understand why you don't trust your mother. Who else can you trust if not your mom? Maybe you're just embarassed. That's understandable, but your mom is a woman and she knows all about periods. She won't be angry, because like I said, it's nothing you've done wrong. However, keeping secrets from her will upset her more than telling her, if you think this news will upset her. I can't imagine why it would, so go ahead and break the news. Good luck, hon!

Open your mouth and use your words to tell her. She's been there too, and she'll want to celebrate your new status. Yes, she'll also want to tell your father and she should. Your father should also know. But three months? Are you certain that your parents haven't already figured it out for themselves? It's not as though you can really hide those used pads.
If you're saying that you haven't stopped bleeding for 3 months, then there is definately something wrong, and you will need one of your parents to take to the doctor to find out what's wrong.
If you really feel that you can't trust your mother, then tell any other older female relative. And start working on your relationship with your mother, now. You'll be grateful for it later.

Well ive had my period for 1 and a half years and i havent told my mom because i feel that i cant trust her! If you've managed for 3 months without telling your mom then maybe you dont really need to. As long as you can get pads or tampons.

If your teacher is a woman, talk to her. Otherwise, talk to any older woman; your friends mom, a policewoman, you know who the decent women are. Any one of them will help you. I saw you on here a few nights ago about this; you're eleven and your mom was out on a date. If you have been bleeding continuously for three months, you have to see a doctor. But I hope that can't be the case without your mother knowing.

You have to tell your mom as you will need someone to buy your supplies for you. Also if you have an accident you will need to tell her so she can pretreat the stain. If you have any medical problems related to your period she needs to know so she can decide if you need to see a doc or something. You mother has been through all of this when she was a teen starting her period. Sit down and talk to her.

You should really tell her. There is nothing that you have done to cause this to happen, so she cant get mad at you. You should go to a doctor, because if there is something wrong (hormonally) it could make you become anemic or weak. It may not go away on it's own, or if it does it could happen again. It's definately not healthy, there are pills a doctor can prescribe to stop the bleeding.

i dont know why you dont trust your mom, but you really need to right now. if you cant then you need to get to the school nurse. but the best thing to do is go and tell her now. if you were my kid i wont care when or where i would want to know. my 14 year old likes to tell me the "interesting" stuff when i am driving. guess she feels like i am traped behind the wheel. :) take care and tell someone. this is not a good thing.
