If they give up their liberties for so called securities then they didn't deserve them anyway. Bush and his cronies are the only terrorist in this country and should be charged and executed. They have brought this country to the brink of revolution, and so much in fighting, it wasn't even this bad under Clinton, and he sucked very bad. IMPEACH BUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh My God!!! Are you out of your mind? We did just exactly that...up here in Canada! And we are now that much more worse-off as a result! It didn't reduce the crime, cost more in tax dollars, and the Governments are now more corrupted than ever before! Heck the Country couldn't be any worse off...if the Mafia did run it? In fact, they would probably do a better job! We have no Property Right's,Mineral Right's etc. We have a Constitution that divides us...more than it unifie's! Any right's that you do have, are really nothing more than "Tinsel Wrapped Privilege's" that can be written off...on a Politicians whim, and the stroke of a Pen! And of course...when the Government screws up,the people get all upset...and demand even more Government Interventionism? But that is what got us into the "Problem's" in the first place! There is no accountability by Public Officials, and if the Politician's do not want to suffer the wrath of the votership-they just throw it to the Supreme Court of Canada...because they are not "elected" anyways! I'm just killing myself...in trying to stop this nonsense, and you want to embrace it? No Thanks...don't even go there!

Our forfathers were smart men, and I think could see the corruption in the future, and how too much power and greed could bring the country down. Thats why they wrote in the rights to freedom, guns self protection against false arrest in the constitution, Our Government is stomping that to pieces. The answer is no we should not give up our freedoms for this false security, They take a little at a time. Smoking Bans Hitler put one in Germany then killed millions of Jew, America is starting the same way, first this then that, then who knows, concentration camps? If you look funny will they kill you? Wake up and lets take our country back..

I saw this on the news today - and No! I don't think Americans should give up their freedom - at least not until they close the boarders and allow profiling! Let's face it. Those who are threatening us (most recently in the news with the busted terrorists) came across the boarder in Brownsville, TX. Albeit many years ago, but what difference does it make? No changes have been made since then. And as far as profiling goes, how many little old homemaker ladies are terrorizing our country? They should be suspected by checking out their bank account applications in the local town bank? Give up their guns? Never. We have a right to protect ourselves and our property if need be. No one is going to come to my aid in an emergency but myself, and I believe I have the right to protect my own life.

1: No.
2: no.
3: no.
4: You see a pattern here?
our security lies in the fact that we have rights. countries that dont have constitutional rights are often the most vulnerable since the people have no ability to defend themselves, they must rely on their governemnt. if we give up our constitutional rights, we gain nothing in reality. The government simply gets the right to trample us because of our own complacency and over-trust in the government. We cant give up our privacy, if we do that, then we arent even citizens any more. One of the key principles of COMMUNISM is the forfeiture of privacy. If we have privacy we might... Dare I say it?... Think independently!! And we cant have any of that can we? And if the government is saying we should give up guns, its lunacy. Guns are the only thing that keep us safe. the only people who are affected by gun laws are law abiding people. The only thing we're doing is making the american people more susceptible to crime. In the early 1900's, children brought their guns to school, every one of them. And there was NEVER a single school shooting. Having guns doesnt get someone shot. Not having them does.
I dont trust the government with our security anyway. Look at all the things that have happened inside our borders that the government just shrugs at. 'We didnt know it was going to happen'. Well if you dont know this kind of thing, how are we expected to trust you with our security!?
Give me back my constitution.
Give me back my freedom.
Give me back my privacy.
Give me back my gun.
Give me back my America.

NO Americans should NOT give up their freedom for security but unfortunately the Government sees it differently since we are losing our freedom slowly. What a shame we give so much power to a few

IN ALL ORGANIZED SOCIETIES THEIR MUST BE BALANCE BETWEEN LIBERY AND SECURITY. LIBERTY REQUIRES RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE. THE INNOCENT
SHOULD NOT SUFFER AT THE HANDS OF THE
IRRESPONSIBLE. SOME BALANCE IS ALWAYS NEEDED TO PROTECT THOSE THAT CANNOT PROTECT
THEMSELVES. YOUR LOGIC IS FALSE.
