One time during a presentation at a meeting with people much higher in the business than I was and were judging me. My voice started shaking and I was visibly sweating (I never drip sweat, but did that day from all outlets). I was nervous but didn't realize it - was just trying to get through it. I passed the mic on to someone else and had to go somewhere else to lay down and catch my breath. No idea why it happened. But I've given a ton more presentations without that happening after. I'd say it was a panic thing, if anything, because I couldn't answer all of their questions at that time.

Yep. Driving on the freeway. I had to pull over and try to catch my breath. That didn't work so I got myself home. Then it got worse. I had to call paramedics. I had no idea what was happening and never heard of a panic attack before that day! God Bless to anyone who has or may have them. It isn't a good feeling at all.

Yep. I've had a few. The most embarassing was during the last Iraq conflict the night the serviceman I was dating came home . . . what should have been the best night of my life turned into the worst because I absolutely freaked out. It was so weird because I was so relieved and I'd stood up like such a "little soldier" for over a year. All of the sudden, I could let my guard down and WHAM! I couldn't breathe. I couldn't stop crying. I could barely talk. I didn't have to go to the hospital, but it was truly awful.

P.S. Where was I? In bed with one of the most wonderful men I have ever met in my life . . .for the last time. We've been buddies since then, but boy did I scare the hell out of him.

I was 18 and I just got my first apartment. It was time to pay my rent and I went to the atm to check my balance. (I just got paid and wanted to see how much money I had) When I got to the atm and checked my balance I discovered that I had no money!!!! My paycheck (which was direct deposit) had not been desposited into my account. And my rent was due in like a day or so. I had to go to payroll and have them cut me a check. The only problem was that it wouldn't be ready for almost a week!!!! I cried and I stopped breathing!!! But it all worked out and my rent was paid.

At home in bed...couldn't snap out of it...got in car and drove hundreds of miles until that feeling went away.....went back home went to bed woke up fine. I was in a town without my family, friends, or support group. I did work it out myself tho...

What is your motive for this one, huh? I had to return to this question because I am going to have a panic attack wondering what you are up to? Some new plan for submission? That if we were dependent on some strong man, as yourself, we would not feel frightenend out of our pants? Hog wash.....even men have these....it has to do with chemical reactions in the brain.....too much of one not enough of another all at the same time.........crash!

Sir, but the very first word you said answered your question.

Females are very high wired creatures that takes everything seriously. Even the laid back ones are high strung. I'm not sure if there is anyone who hasn't

As for me, my last one was on Monday about a Science class.

Yep, been there, done that...And don't want to do it again. I've had one at work and I had one at home. The one at work wasn't as bad as the one I had at home. My husband took me to the ER because I was hyperventilating. Not fun! I haven't had one since and I really hope that was the last one!
