I know some people dream of flying sometimes, but do non-swimmers dream of flying doing the free-style? I've been swimming all my life, and whenever I dream I'm flying, I'm doing strokes and kicking going up or down as though I were swimming. I'm on the air, but somehow I move my arms and legs in a swimming motion. I imagine non-swimmers just dream they are floating.

I wonder, do other swimmers dream of flying doing a free-style swimming technique, or am I the only one?

And I thought I was the only one!!! Whenever I dream, I always fly, never walk or run - and I always have to do breastroke pulls and flutter kicks in order to propel myself!!! I think it's crazy that you've made the correlation between being a swimmer and having these flying dreams, how intriguing!!!

Thanks!!!

Actually yes, I did dream this kind of dreams I have been a professional swimmer since 6 years and I practice swimming daily for 3 hours and when I get back home tired and go to sleep this what I'm dreaming I'm flying by swimming breaststroke and backstroke... and sometimes in the dream I really feel the feeling of flying like it is real.
well,I don't know the right explanation of this dream but I think that cause from the pressure of the trainee ship and worrying about our future in swimming.
In fact I adore this dream it gather my two favorites things swimming and flying , it gives a sense of freedom
I think swimmers are lucky to have such a dream as this one and to get a chance to experience this feelings.

I DO!!

Wow, that's so strange! I have dreams that I "swim" places..... like to go see someone across the room, I barely pick up my feet, flutter kick, and stroke over there.... and it's normal. :-P

I sometimes dream that I swim a few feet up in the air too....

That's so strange!!
