Okay this is a weird question that might "repulse" some people, but I need an answer.

On the shaft of my penis, down more towards the head, I have this lump that only shows up when I have an erection.

So my question is... What is it? Is it just a vein? Is it a tumor? I'm 15 years old so I really am lost here...

Thanks for your help.

Have you talked to your father or an older male relative? I know it's embarassing to discuss these matters, even with a parent, but they should probably get you to a urologist to make sure there is nothing serious. Any suspicious lumps anywhere on the body should be examined. I'm sure it's nothing, but see a doctor for the sake of your health and your peace of mind. Good luck!

am i the only guy to look at your penis so far? i wouldn't worry about it . ive never heard of penis cancer.

its probably just a vein or something. inside your penis there is spongy tissue known as corpus cavernosum, yes it looks like a sponge with holes, you probably have a large pore that engorges with blood and creates a lump.

Like they say..see a doc just in case. Probably just a weakness in the wall of the Corpus cavernosum (the tubes that fill with blood on each side of your penis).
If thats the case just think of it as a french tickler :)

Well, it's probably nothing like a tumor, because it would be there all the time. If it's something new, you should have your doctor take a look at it, but it doesn't sound like anything to me.

If you trust your doc, please see him/her soon. It probably IS just an engorged vein, I've seen it before. It is normal. But check it out so you'll put your mind at ease.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it's painful.
My ex husband had something like that and our Dr told him it was hereditary. He talked with his dad and sure enough his dad had the same thing.
Relax and enjoy your youth.

If you press on it, is it hard or squishy? If its squishy, then I have the same thing, I think its fine.

likely a vein if it only shows up when erect.
