Globalization of commerce has brought huge changes to many parts of the world. China and India, for example, have had major changes in their economies from companies that have shifted manufacturing and support services from the US, Europe and Japan to China and India. India and China now have burgeoning middle classes and an increasing demand for consumer goods from cars to televisions.

Other parts of the world have seen increased exports, such as some African countries and South Asia, such as Bangladesh, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. These increased exports (generally to western industrialized nations) bring in substantial income and have improved the quality of life in these countries.
