I have a friend lauren. At a friends house, I had this shock pen and was teasing her with it. It is a prank thing where you touch the top, you get shocked. After pointing it at her, she got defensive and threatened to call the cops. I explained it was a joke and hung out with someone else. Tonight, she deleted me off her myspace acct. What do you make of it. No harm was done anywhere.

Obviously there was some harm done. Lauren did not like your joke and to her - harm was committed. She went to the extreme by deleting you from her Myspace account but to her, vengence was in order. I'm sorry that you lost her as a friend, but perhaps you have learned something. Not everyone thinks a joke or prank is funny. I have been pranked with that pen and that thing really hurts! It's not a play toy. When it was done to me I was really, really angry. I am a teacher and another teacher tricked me with the pen. I was so mad I didn't want to talk to her the rest of the day -but as an adult - I could not make that childish move - instead - I told her I was truly offended and the pen hurt and asked her never to play that kind of joke on me again. So, next time realize that some folks can't take the joke. (did you do everything in your power to show her you were sorry???)

Some people are what I would call a little testy. They cant take a joke or maybe they have been shocked before and didn't enjoy it that much.

Either way I think she over reacted and you should let her chill. If you were a good friend she will forgive you and get over it. If she's not what is the big loss?

Advice for the future... Know the character of the person your going to play a trick on. If you pick people who cant take it its almost like picking on someone to cause that kind of reaction. Friends are hard to make and when their gone it may be you who truly lose in the end .

The harm done was that you made her angry with your silly pranks. I don't like that sort of thing, either.

What I make of it is that she doesn't want to hang out with someone who can be such a jerk.

It might not be just a prank to someone with a heart condition. You should rethink your harmless prank and how it could affect someone who has health problems. You should apologize.

It is obvious that she don't like what you did. Different people react differently. You need to be sensitive to what others might feel even though you think it may be harmless.

To regain her trust and friendship, you need to apologize sincerely. Until then, you'll be off her chart.

She just took it way to far. I would attempt to talk to her and say I'm sorry and it was only a joke. Our friendship is stronger than that.
