Yes you can. It is common enough that there is even a process for it. Peekaboo Street was an unnamed child who did not choose her name until she was 3 or 4 years old. Go speak with an attorney who practices family law in your area. There is a process for it, and yes you can do it!

Nothing is about the only thing that won't work. This is due to the necessity for the Social Security agency to put something on the line asking for a name when applying for a child's Social Security card. And that is something you will have to do at some point.

i don't blame them for thinking your crazy... how do you expect for the rest of the world to identify your child? I'm just disturbed that your going to have a child and I feel sorry for that poor child that will have you as a parent. Hopefully this is a joke...

I think there has to be a referent. However, someone is legally named 'the symbol formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince'.

Why you'd want your child in company like that beats me, however.

Legally no, you can not get a birth certificate for a child without a given first and last name.

I think there has to be some designation for legal purposes, but I don't think it has to be a "name"..it can be 2 or **, I guess.

no.. the hospital will name it Baby Boy, or baby Girl until you change the name..but I would suggest changing it rather than leaving it baby boy or baby girl
