They need therapy and ways to work out what ever feelings they are encountering that are making them feel so poorly. I am not impressed by self-mutilation, it's pointless, I know that the mental state of one who does that believes that it will redirect their pain, but if they can tke enough time to plan the self-abuse, find a blade, and "hide: the behavior, they know enough to seek the assistance of a counsellor to deal with their emotions. There are many forms of art to express how one feels, it is contsructive and a much more progressive way of redirecting internal pain. It's like writing in a journal, except on canvas or scultpure or some other form of art, dance, whatever. I am not impressed with the sorry ensembles, the whining, the cosmetics, and those rediculous comb over hair-dos. That counter-productivity has got to stop. I'm not saying that everyone has to be happy, but what does the life sans emotion get you? Nothing. At least through art, there is no limit to the release of anger, frustration and hurt, and look at the beautiful works of art, music, poetry, songs, all came from someone redirecting what they were feeling into something POSITIVE. Now they're rich! Not a bad trade off, is it? It's being clever, and productive. If someone wants to miserable, fine, do so, but your therapy may just help someone else out of what is hurting them. Whining and denying emotions is not human. It is sad. I feel for those people, but do something about it. The resources are endless. And if one can go around in those get ups and hair-dos, getiing counselling can't be that much more emabarassing.

There's no reason for all these labels. People this day 'n age, and even long before now, never created themselves because they were too busy trying to fit their label/stereotype. It's only after these people get out of high school 'n into college, that they start to become, if you will, human, again. (I say 'human' because if your not yourself, 'n can't be yourself, then there's no way your human.)
People get picked on, shun, slap even and have so many bad things done to them 'n said about them 'n everything, that it tends to scar them for life. It makes high school the toughest part of their lives and the hardest to get through. I mean, did you hear about that one girl, who got locked in a cage for some reason? What about that girl that got so picked on, 'n had so many horrible 'n terrible things said about her 'n done to her, that she brought a gun to school.? Or, something like that... I can't quite remember, because I honestly didn't hear much about it. But the little I did hear, should tell a lot of people a lot about schools this day 'n age.
Especially if we hear on the news the whole 'he said, she said' thing about some racist act committed at a party, but we hear nothing about the party itself. And that SHOULD be something talked about. Especially when it comes to those after parties at proms...
And for people to alter their appearance, or their interest or anything like that.! Just so they can fit into a pathetic label, is ridiculous. Especially if they're gonna be complain about all that happens to them once they're in that label. They don't even know about half of the things, about half of the labels/stereotypes they have in schools these days.
Need I say more?

I used to be considered "goth" by other people (still am) just because I wore nothing but black and I wrote a lot, but really it was because I loathed the way I looked in colors and I liked to write. Big whoop.
I get a kick out of the Hot Topic goths. They all try to be "non-conformists", yet are conforming themselves by buying overpriced clothes that fifty other people in their school would surely have.
Emos are just annoying. I hate their music, their style, and whiny attitudes. They're only Emo because they're too rich and pretty to be goth.

Todays transcendence of fads has crossover, ever because of the fact the grunge era (very own fave) to this new abortion noted as emo. Derived from punk varieties and greasy hairs, emos had the excitement to grace our international with their incessant whining and tight crimson denims. Their effeminate voice rakes nails against our ears and their urge for nutrition for snobby b ! tch emo women who benefit greater weight than buddies basically provides gasoline to their burning stakes they made. Emos frequently are "nonconformist" MCR following tampons that have self assurance that the international will on no account understand their very own tribulations and hardships jointly as they pout at the back of their mom's minivan jointly as going to warm subject be counted. in my view, i might like not something greater desirable than to rip out his bleeding heart and shove it up his non appreciative *** jointly as kicking in the groin for not chossing a beeter fad to get into, like Tomagachi's :3 a minimum of goths have some form of background in the back of their fashions and whatnot, plus their dreary outlook on existence is substantiated. do not even get me began on scene fags. they are worst than emos. tl;dr: Beat up an emo or scene whenever you may for the affection of your soul.

All stereotypes are ridiculous. People merely slap a label on themselves to fit into a group or subculture.

gothic people act like they're super tough, theyre really the ones who cut and most are athiest, that's my opinion. emo kids are cool, they just need a hug. but i mostly think emo is just music not a trend. that's what everyone gets so caught up in being 'cool' and saying they're emo, when really it's just a genre.
