The Vikings should finish last in their division. Oh wait!! The Detroit Lions are in the NFC central also. So you have some hope!!!

With a defense like that, its hard to say that Minnesota will be a bad team. They stop the run like few teams have been able to.

Although, the quarterback position is a serious weakness for them, other teams have been able to win with a weak qb and a strong defense and running game.

Plus, playing the detroit lions and green bay packers in 4 games, the vikes should pick up wins in those games easily.

I can see the vikings winning 7 to 10 games easily. If adrian peterson runs like he can as well, and Tavaris jackson avoids losing games and manages the game without mistakes, then the vikes are gonna be in the playoffs.

I think they have no chance to do anything next year. For one, they play in the same division as the Bears and with Tavaris Jackson starting at QB, this division will stay with the Bears. They also have nobody to catch the ball. Troy Williamson has been a major dissappointment. Adrian Peterson will add some flair but with teams not respecting the QB, he will see stacked boxes all day.
Last year the defense was great against the run but a little bit to do with that is that it was so easy to pass against them. Remember the game against the Patriots, they passed every play. And their pass game got weaker this year with Fred Smoot leaving and Darren Sharper (who I love) yet another year older. I think this team will be one of the bottom dwellers in the league this year.

yeah they have a chance...........anything can happen in the NFL..........everybody has a chance

btw i had the Jets and the Titans having a top 5 pick this year and the Jets made the playoffs with the Titans narrowly missing.........

Vikings can run the ball really well and stop the run really well, thats a good start.......

and btw you, and everyone else, are overemphasizing the quarterback way too much........

have you forgotten the Ravens won the Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer?

and the Bears came up just short of a ring with Rex Grossman...........

it can happen.......

i say the Vikes are picking anywhere between 10-20 next year

Really I have no idea what they were doing this offseason. If they were gonna take Adrian Peterson in the first round, they should have tried to sign Jeff Garcia or David Carr. I see how they might not have known that Peterson was gonna fall to them, but if they were gonna take him in the first round, they should have traded up higher so they could have taken Jon Beck or Drew Stanton. They along with Detroit and Green Bay will all have under .500 years while the Bears win the NFC North.

NO! They are in the wrong division. The Packers are taking it all the way this year. Plus, even the gutted Bears can beat them. The Vikings are hopeless.

I'm still baffled that the Vikings won 6 games last year!!

yeah without a QB they really stand no chance. Although their Defense should be excellent, I still think you need to be able to score some points....and they won't be able to with those options at QB.
