Violation of God's laws brings natural consequences. This is a good and natural question.

Wait, how long were these people going on their wicked ways? Months, years, decades, centuries? Could these not just be natural disasters, which then get blamed on the people being impure?
Were there no good people in Sodom, or during Noah's time, and so forth? What about children?
Ugh this is a fruitless argument.
The thing that destroys societies is hate. I am gay but lack hate, yet I am hated for my being gay. Something I had no say in whatsoever, I mean seriously I was raised Catholic, what reason would I ever have to choose it?
How much more we could learn if we were not clouded by hate.

Ok, NOWHERE in the Bible does it say that the people living around the time of Noah were immoral because they were gay. The Bible also doesn't refer to homosexuality whenever the sins Sodom and Gomorrah are brought up, in the Old and New Testaments.
Let's see, we were told that gay marriage would destroy marriage; yet, Massachusetts has the lowest divorce rate in the nation...

You are playing a typical Christian game...front load the question to make sure there is no answer that is not wrong...bad try at logic. You use examples of Biblical explanations for events of nature..floods, Earthquakes...nonsense. The old testament, in main part, was a pack of superstition and an explanation of events that people had no understanding of..so they blame a god. Nonsense. Terrible earthquakes still happen in the Middle east all the time, we do not attribute them to a god. Floods happen here, and everywhere...we attribute them to storms, not a god. You judge peoples lives by YOUR definition of morality, not mine. Premarital sex is now IMMORAL ??? Grow up and join the 21st century..it will be quite an awadening for you. Gay's are immoral? Take your soap box to a place that will agree with you...at least you will have the satisfaction of believing you are holier than thou. As it is, you come across as a bible humping fool. But, I still wish you good luck in life. Somehow, I think you will need all the luck you can muster.

I've just read that, according to polls, 95% of people in the U.S. have pre-marital sex. I would imagine that every other advanced country has similar statistics. You think being Gay is "immoral?" It's interesting how God keeps making Gay people. Anyway, if what you're saying is true, alot of societies are going down, so my suggestion to you is to move to a country run by Islamic Fundamentalists who are good at putting a stop to all this "immoral" behavior, and whose people will be saved when judgment comes.

Hello,
I was just wondering if you could explain how it is that homosexuality is causing the downfall of society. You seem to believe this is true, so I'd love for you to show me your sources. Please, don't use Sodom and Gomorrah as your only reference. If that is all you have don't even bother. Anyway, I'll check back later on this question to see what you have posted. Thanks.
Also, if you could explain how Noah and homosexuality relate, and maybe even Pompeii. I have never once heard either of them connected, and I went to Catholic school. If they were gonna link homosexuality and Noah or Pompeii anywhere it would be at a catholic school, trust me.

Funny, I have a 27 year monogamous marriage (that's probably older than you are, young man) I highly doubt that it is messing with the immorality scenario.
Let me give you another thing to think of
There are 6 admonitions against Homosexuality in the Bible
There are 362 against Heterosexuality in the Bible
That is a balance of 356 against Heterosexuals
God is FAR more worried about His Hetero Children than His Homo children.
By the way -- Jesus said NOTHING about Homosexuality and He is the Saviour and NOT Paul.

Any action you can commit comes with consequences good and bad.
The people of Pompei were killed by a volcano not God.
The other stories you mentioned have never been confirmed.
If what you do hurts only yourself then it should be allowed and legal. No one should be able to tell you what you can do to yourself. (Drugs, Suicide, Prostitution)

This is not one of those situations. There's nothing immoral about homosexuality, or God wouldn't have made it.
The catholic church still doesn't allow for females in positions of leadership. Do you agree with this? Face it, over time, things will change, you know this.

No. What causes the downfall of societies is avarice fueled by imposed morality taken to an extreme.

Ah, there we go again.
Holland and Sweden (just as examples of modern societies) have legal gay marriage. The USA hasn't.
The USA has 350% higher murder rates than the other two countries. 300% more of STD's, much more abortions, higher crime rates, more violence, etc, etc.
I think the only immorality I see is this insanely judgmental Christian question.
