Jehovahs Witnesses Ski, Snowboard, have parties (no alcohol or immorality though) and some have traveled the world and on top of that, they are genuinely good people who care enough to teach people of all kinds about the bible and Jehovah and his son. What compels them?

Ya know Matthew 24:14 says that people would preach to All the inhabited earth for a means to an end. And they are the only ones who are always out teaching people about the bible. Not only that but they are able to prove EVERY singel thing they say with scientific and biblical evidence. They have my vote for the true religion

What compels me, personally, as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, is knowing that how I live my life is pleasing to Jehovah and that it will ultimately benefit me, rather than indulging in seemingly "fun" things that will give me problems in my future. Jehovah's Witnesses learn and teach straight from the Bible, so the way we live our lives are not to please ourselves or others, but to please Jehovah God.
Another thing that compels me is knowing that I have a beautiful future to look forward to; living forever in a perfect world without any crime, death, sickness, unfairness or sadness; being able to serve Jehovah amongst my brothers and sisters and just...being happy, just by being there.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe the bible to condemn the moderate use of alcohol, where legal. Any Witness who chooses to refrain from alcohol likely does so for personal reasons unrelated to his religion.
(John 4:46) Cana of Galilee, where [Jesus] had turned the water into wine.
(1 Timothy 5:23) Use a little wine for the sake of your stomach

IT's crazy huh? We have some that come to our house every Tuesday night. I totally disagree with just about everything they say but I am so amazed by their dedication that I always listen. Wonder why Christians who have such a better reward waiting for them (heaven), don't work as hard or knock on as many doors?

Hi, while your comment is nice, I should correct one thing. We have nothing against drinking Alcohol, in moderation. It is neither forbidden, nor mandatory. I personally don't drink, others do.
While none of us are perfect, we do strive to be nice to others since, among other reasons, this is one of the most basic teachings of Jesus.

He requested on your opinion. You *admittedly rudely* gave it. Why could there be a have got to 'Cheer him up'?? You naturally view him as dull, however that does not imply he IS, and particularly most probably your sarcastic try to "Cheer Him Up" could be conveniently visible as a impolite positioned down. Leave good ample on my own

Of course some witnesses are nice, and they are not the only one preaching. Unfortunately there beliefs are not biblical, they had to change the bible for there doctrines.

In answer to the first person who replied, I was told by a JW that you can attract more flies with bullshit than you can with honey or vinegar. How does that fit with your idea?
JW's nice? That is a mirage you are in. They aren't nice to their own and they aren't nice to people who they come to the houses of and answer questions.
They are compelled by the organization which dangles the carrot of salvation in front of them. Salvation according to the Bible is by grace through faith. According to the Watchtower, it is by works.

Religion. They are good people. They think they have the ticket to heaven and they want to share it. What could be nicer than that. I just happen to think they are wrong.
