Is there a certain age or time when long hair is "out"?

I've seen young and older women who just don't look good in long hair. I've seen women who don't look good with short hair. I don't think it's an age thing. I think it's what looks best on you and what you like.

When they wear it in a pony-tail all the time, then ask you if they would look good in short hair? Dur yep, it looks short pulled back in a pony-tail in the first place. There is no hair around the face, maybe some bangs. Cut the stuff off, A good cut is worth the money. To blow dry and spray some hair spray and walk out the door, it is liberating. To your 2nd question: Just say No to the helmet hair perm, again a good cut requires no perm or styling. I'm short and sexy, just like my hair :)

I believe women should wear their hair whatever length they want to whatever their age.
Some people think older women should have shorter hair. I say it's a personal choice no to be dictated by outside opinion.

The maintenance of long hair with advanced age might be an excessive burden for some ... it might be a blessing for some.
I don't know.
(I had never consiodered this concept before ... thank you for the 'thought-experiment')

All depends on the girl and probably type of hair. So, no I don't think there's an age limit.

I'm 49 and wear my hair long....as a matter of fact I decided that I was tired of short hair so I let it grow

Depends on the woman. I am 51 and my hair reaches the middle of my back. I hate short hair, and I hate the image of the "old lady" with the "easy to take care of" short curly perm, bleah.

I think women should stop in their 50's. Long hair doesn't look that great when it's white.
