pokemon diamond/pearl wifi connection!?

i already set up my wifi connection, but i want to know how to communicate with people globally. is there some way i can do that? i've heard that it's possible. where can i go and what can i do to do that?

Since you have either a Wireless Router or the Wi-Fi USB Adapter and you've set it up then here is what you'll be able to do provided the connection works.

Since you want to connect to people globally, there are 2 options.

You could either go to the Global Trade Station to Jubilife City. Once you have at least 1 badge, you'll be able to get on it. You could post one of your Pokemon to the server then request a Pokemon - afterwards you just leave the place and wait for someone to accept your offer. The only problem is that you need to have seen the Pokemon in order to request it.

Here's the other option. First go into any Pokemon Center. Head downstairs and you'll be stopped by one of the people there. You'll be given the Pal Pad. Now talk to the person in the middle and you'll be told to Wi-Fi connect. Once you do, follow the instructions and once completed - you then disconnect from the Wi-Fi Connection. Afterwards go into your Key Items, select Pal Pad and select the 3rd button and you'll see your Friend Code which you can then give to other people who have the game.

Anyone who has Pokemon Diamond or Pearl as well as Wi-Fi will have Friend Codes. In order to personally trade with them, you must exchange Friend Codes with each other.

Anyway that's all of the info I have. In my opinion - I would say the Friend Code option would be the better one.

Also to add something else to all of this. Unlocking the Wi-Fi features is not possible until you get to Oreburgh City.

yes there is a way, but in order for it to work you'll have to have a wireless router....so you're ds can make connection....or there's a simplier way.....go to any "hotspots" in your area and you are free to trade. All the Mc Donalds are hotspots, so you just have to go in one...go to the communication center in jubilife city and go downstairs where the globe is and speak to the lady and then go in and start trading....check the nintendo site for more information
