So many nasty posts are left for my questions. People make so many assumptions. I take NyQuil to sleep, I'm not an addict. I want to try codeine to see if I still have a reaction, not for recreational use. I want to use Adderall to help me focus in dental school so I can be the best student and subsequently dentist I can be. Why is everyone so judgemental? It's not like I'm some dope head. I'm responsible.

Whether you like it or not, your few sentences here do indeed indicate that you have some problems. Performance Anxiety is a big problem for you. I suggest instead that you go see a psychiatrist. As for the codeine, once you have a reaction you will ALWAYS have a reaction, so don't even go there. It's too dangerous. But, if you want Adderall to focus during the day and NyQuil to sleep at night, it is a definite indicator that you are on a deadly downward spiral. This frequently happens to professional students. There is help available. Go see a psychiatrist. No one will think less of you for doing that. In fact, they'll admire you for having the courage to seek help.

Well...I'm not going to criticize you or anything like that. Its your life, you do what you want with it. And it aint no business of mine.

But in all honesty, people have been accomplishing great things for thousands of years without having a pill for everything. You want to focus better? Do it! Be strict with yourself, set rules and such. I can understand Nyquil, but aderol and codeine are for serious problems, not for everyone whos too lazy to make themselves focus.

Again, I'm not being harsh, just honest.

i don't know what the nasty answers were - but no good person who wants to help you will agree that any of those are good for you. Drugs are only temporary solutions to deeper issues. If you don't get those taken care of - you will become dependent - and those issues will just get worse.

everyone has their problems and it makes it easier for them to sleep at night knowing that they made someone elses' day that much worse than theirs. i wouldn't recommend that codeine as i had an adverse reaction to it as a sleep aid and pain reliever. adderall won't work on you unless you suffer from add or adhs, trust me. i tried using them for my pre-law exams. i'm sure you're a fine hard working student like myself, just let things roll right off your shoulders as easily as it was thrown onto you.

There is something seriously wrong with a person who depends upon drugs to perform natural, every-day tasks.

You need to stop now before you become addicted to them.

It sounds to me like you may have some self doubt about it. Otherwise you would not be posting this question.
