if they told you they were really a SOCIALIST?

You would think the dems would get tired of being associated with these losers?

Maybe we need truth in advertising, if your votes in congress are judged to be socialist you have to leave the democratic party and run as a socialist.

Do you think those people could win an election?

Any woman worth the tens of millions of dollars she and her husband have amassed can certainly afford to buy a seat representing San Francisco.

Faux news and people like you have been telling us she is a socialist for years. She has been consistent with her ideology and views - and she is not just in congress - she is speaker.
So I guess she is not a socialist and you guys have been lying all this time - or the answer to your question is Yes.
Either way I know it is not what you want to hear (not that you seem to read the answers to your "questions) - so I am sure we will hear some new nonsense about the left wing media, or George Soros, or one of the other groups that you believe are so much cleverer than your side in that they can apparently always find a way to run things - even when you had the white house and both houses.
Jeez - it can't be much fun being a right wing loony at the moment - especially knowing how you are going to get flogged in 2008.

I don't think you'd know a true "socialist" if you had a conversation with one. Why is the US one of the few civilized (lightly--take that word very lightly....) countries in the world where "socialist" is a bad word, anyway? Socialism is just another economic theory--like many, many others. Some of it works, some of it doesn't. Why are people so afraid of the word?

Do you think Bush could have "won" the presidency if we had been told that he is an alcoholic, drug-using, low self-esteem having, "C" student who got by only because of the reputation and money of his father? Now, that I would call truth in advertising!! No, instead, we got stuff about his "Christianity", his college degrees (bought and paid for!), his "plans" for the US---------all of it plain ol' hogwash!

The "truth"? It is nothing more than your bigot-esque opinion. She is the Speaker of the House and is a self-proclaimed liberal democrat. Socialists are different. Bernie Sanders is a socialist congressman, and is an Independent, NOT a democrat.

it rather is unquestionably amazing given the anti-congress sentiment national after their dismal overall performance in the final 60 years. i'm been instructed by way of maximum of people who have been earlier congress electorate that they voted for the BJP. human beings have been throwing shoes and chappals on the Congress occasion.however the count variety surprisingly sufficient, favoured the Congress. of course Naveen Chawla labored his magic with the EVMs for the Congress. In my section Congress have been given the 2d maximum votes yet we on no account even observed them campaigning in the section. human beings do not even understand the Congress candidate from the section! they have purposely arrived at a variety even dropping in some factors so curiously like they won honest and sq. yet there is unquestionably some thing fishy approximately those elections.

Unfortunately, I think so. Jesse Jackson loves Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro. He never met a social program he didn't like. And I think EVERYONE knows that he is a socialist, but he keeps getting elected.

So why would he noIn my state, a registered & self proclaimed Communist ran for office as a Democrat & was elected. He told every media source he was a Communist but people voted straight Democrat & elected him since they had no clue who he was other than a Democrat.
So why not a Socialist?

Ok, for the thousandth time...

You are confusing socio-political ideas with economic and financial ones...
You also clearly do not know what liberals are...

Socialism -
Any of various theories or SYSTEMS OF SOCIAL ORGANIZATION in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy.

Marxism -
THE ECONOMIC PHILOSOPHY of Karl Marx (and influenced by Friedrich Engels).
The works of Karl Marx were observations of the natural progression of economics and not political propaganda that was later to be labeled "Marxist" by capitalists.

Democracy -
A FORM OF GOVERNMENT. While the term democracy is typically used in the context of a political state, the principles are also applicable to other groups and organizations. (literally "rule by the people", from the Greek demos, "people", and kratos, "rule"[1])

Liberalism -
Liberalism refers to a BROAD ARRAY OF IDEOLOGIES, AND PHILOSOPHICAL VIEWS which advocate INDIVIDUAL LIBERTY.
Broadly speaking, liberalism emphasizes individual rights. It seeks a society characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power (especially of government and religion), the rule of law, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy that supports free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of all citizens are protected. In modern society, liberals favor a liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law and an equal opportunity to succeed.
